Moses Malone was born January 7, 1946 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Alton and Minnie Malone. He passed away on March 10, 2018 at the Lighthouse Rehabilitation Center in Selma, Alabama. Moses confessed Christ at an early age and joined New Bride Baptist Church in Sardis, Alabama. Moses met and married Edna Curtis. They lived in Maywood, Illinois and later moved back to Selma, Alabama. The Lord blessed them with six beautiful children, Sabrina, Derrick, Cedric, Kendall, Steven and Cortez.
Moses worked at Johnson Paint and Body Shop until his health began to fail him. He loved his job! He was always fixing on cars even when he was off work. Moses loved being outdoors! He especially loved to fish and hunt. He would stay on the lake all day and fish. Moses also enjoyed working in the garden and in the yard.
Moses was preceded in death by his daughter Sabrina Morrison; three brothers, Willie J. Brown Sr., Henry Malone, Aaron Malone; and four sisters, Ada Burson, Mattie Holley, Ida Malone and Sallie Franklin.
Moses leaves to cherish his wife, Edna Malone; his sons, Derrick (Tracy) Malone, Cedric (Angela Johnson) Malone, Kendall (Roshonda Jackson) Malone, Steven Malone and Cortez (Briana Jarrin) Malone; three sisters, Armenia Malone, Jessie Malone and Estella Malone; one brother Alton Malone; eleven grandchildren, Brandon, Kyle, Justin, Alexis, Ashley, Ashundi, Amaya, Kendall, Parker, Jermaine and Mason.
